an update, at long last...

So, I finally set up the computer that I bought off of Joe... 2.25GHz Pentium 4, 512MB of RAM, two hard drives with a total of 140GB of disk space. Just needs a new video card (the GeForce 256 on it is a bit too ancient for me to play around with). I scorched it last night, put on a copy of Win2K (ugh, I know... but I finally needed a Wintendo machine to play with at home that had more power than my laptop, "Pica").

Now, "Savant" is up and running, and quite a quick little box. I'm very happy. I need to dredge up a copy of Visual Studio, though, so I can hack around with OpenGL at home and do the stuff that they don't pay me to do at work.

I'm also going back into Atkins induction today, and in honor of the occasion, I've started a new diet mini-blog over hyah. I'll be rearranging this template, that template, and the weight loss chart to all make a bit more sense and feel a little less cluttered.
