friday!

Woo! Sabrina's back from San Diego (her presentation went quite well), and our trailer delivery to the New Hampshire Fire Academy was accepted, and there haven't been any support calls... which means that both Sabrina and I are finally relaxing after many months of occupational stress...

So, what better way to celebrate than working on cars all weekend?

We're putting new suspension in her SE-R (KYB AGXs + HyperCo Gen2), and I'll be trying to repair the valve cover gasket on the Justy (Ultra-Blue RTV, here I come!). Sweet.

I'm headed to DC on Monday for ISMAR, and will be returning Friday. Should be a fun conference.

when Hertz rents you a "compact car" ...

During our trip to southeastern Michigan last week, Sabrina and I decided to rent a car from Hertz. Now, the reservation was for a compact ($19.79 per day with AAA discount, plus $17 per day in surcharges [23 year old driver], and $21 per day for Loss Damage Waiver insurance [car is destroyed, you owe nothing])...

Upon arrival, we were informed that they no longer had any compact cars, and were asked ... "would a Mustang be okay?"

"Uhm, sure. As long as I don't have to pay any more than a compact."

"It's yellow, is that okay?"

"Sure."

So, I got a 2004 Ford Mustang V6 automatic colored in "Arrest-Me Yellow" for three days to haul around Michigan.

Meheheh.

Oh yeah... I found the button to turn off the traction control when it was raining on Friday night. I'll leave the results up to the reader's imagination.
